Quad Aces Heartbreak

Ultimate Heartbreak
The 2008 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event featured what is widely considered the worst bad beat in poker history when Motoyuki Mabuchi’s quad aces lost to Justin Phillips’s Royal Flush. The mathematically astronomical hand occurred during the early stages of the tournament, leaving the entire table in shock. The odds of a Royal Flush hitting at the exact same time another player holds Quad Aces are roughly 1 in 2.7 billion.
