Phillip Jerome Hellmuth Jr.
Phil Hellmuth also known as the “Poker Brat,” has won a record seventeen World Series of Poker bracelets. He won the the Main Event of the 1989 World Series of Poker. He was inducted in WSOP's Poker Hall of Fame in 2007, and is the only player in poker history to have won a WSOP bracelet in 5 different decades. Hellmuth has made instructional poker videos, written for Cardplayer magazine and authored several poker books. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest tournament players in history.

Wins Pile Up
In 1989, the 24-year-old Hellmuth became the youngest player to win the Main Event of the WSOP by defeating the two-time defending champion Johnny Chan. He has cashed in the WSOP Main Event eight times. In 2012 he won the Main Event of the World Series of Poker Europe. Fourteen of Hellmuth's 17 bracelets have been in Texas Hold’em.

Biggest Cash Wins
In 2012, Phil won $2,645,333 finishing in 4th place in the Big One for One Drop. In 2023, Hellmuth won his 17th World Series of Poker bracelet in the $10,000 Super Turbo Bounty No-Limit Hold'em event, earning $803,818. His live tournament winnings exceed $31,000,000.

World Poker Tour
Hellmuth has cashed in the World Poker Tour 19 times, made five final tables, earned over $1.5 million, but never won a WPT Championship.

Poker Brat
Phil Hellmuth earned his legendary "Poker Brat" nickname because of his dramatic temper tantrums and for brutally criticizing the skills of other players at the poker table. His reactions have drawn frequent comparisons to tennis legend John McEnroe.
